Welcome to X-ing Design, an Indigenous owned and operated graphic design and communication studio, located on Treaty 4 land and within the traditional territory of the Metis, in the area called oskana kâ-asastêki ᐅᐢᑲᓇ ᑳ ᐊᓴᐢᑌᑭ, by the Cree peoples - later renamed Regina, in the province of Saskatchewan. We work with both Indigenous and non Indigenous businesses, communities, associations, educators, non profits and all levels of government.

It is our mission to practice visual sovereignty, in all our design decision and business practices. It serves as our cultural cornerstone. Our values are deeply rooted in resistance, persistence, culture and tradition. It is our vision to elevate Indigenous identity and representation in the field of graphic design. Therefore we actively resist incorporating overused images and tropes, that contribute to stereotypical representation of our people, in our designs.

We are constantly working to decolonize our processes and practices and reclaim our own cultural ways of thinking. We approach our client relationships “in a good way” that respects and honours the culture and traditions of their peoples. Therefore we utilize  the Indigenous way of deeply listening when others speak, throughout our design process. As, within the talking circle, when others hold the feather, it is our time to listen and learn.
